Fantastic Property.The guest house was exactly as pictured: charming and warm, with beautiful finishes. What you can't see is how comfortable it is - every detail attended to, including the coffee and tea cupboard that made a perfect accompaniment to fresh pastries in the morning from the bakery just across the street. It's a 10 minute walk to the gorgeous town square and even closer to many terrific restaurants. Most important, Stefano made sure we were happy with everything, and even cooked us a delicious meal when we arrived. Be prepared to make a short walk from where you park your car - typical in all old towns. But the location and comfort more than compensate.

Such an incredible space and location. The space has been renovated to be the perfect blend of modern and rustic. It's very spacious (3 bedrooms, all big and unique). The fireplace makes it extra special. Perfect for curling up with a glass of wine if you want to stay in for a night. The location is great -- right across the street from a small bakery and a scenic 5 min walk to restaurants, shops, etc. Will definitely stay here again next time I'm in Arezzo!

Our stay exceeded all expectations. It was clean, lovely, warm, comfortable, and spacious. Stefano was one of the best hosts we've had. He was very accommodating and available for anything we needed. The fire place was incredible, wine was plentiful, and location was perfect. We would travel back to Arezzo just to stay here again. He has put his heart into building this home, and it shows. This was by far the best part of our 2 week trip around Italy, and a perfect few days of respite between cities. Grazie Stefano!!

The Locanda Bellavita is a very special place as is Arezzo. There is so much to see and do in this small town and the location is perfect for walking to many historic locations while being in a non-tourist location. Stefano, the owner is a true "Renaissance" man and loves the work of art that he has created from a very large basement. Everything is up to date and exceeds all but the very finest hotels. It is a place you will always remember with love and fondness. Stefano, you exceeded all of our expectations. We felt like you were family from the minute we arrived. We will never forget all you did for us to make our stay outstanding. We are still marveling at your culinary skills and attention to every little detail. We hope to return. Truly a Magical Place ! We have rented vacation homes for 20+ years and this by far was the best rental we have ever had the pleasure to call "Our Home" for a week. The pictures do not do it justice. From the moment Stephano let us in the door, we are impressed with the beauty and warmth of the space. The quality of the workmanship is remarkable and even more impressed to know that Stephano did the work himself. The location is perfect, close enough to the center of Arezzo to walk, but far enough to enjoy a peaceful stroll with the locals. Coming home each evening to a roaring fire, a glass of wine and smooth jazz, truly made us fell like "LA Dolce Vita". If you are looking for an exeptional rental and want live life like a local....this is the place for you.

Truly the Good Life!!! Stefano is an exceptional super host!!! We will cherish the memories of our first family vacation because of Stefano's amazing attention to detail. He helped us organize our travel and luggage. He went out of his way to pick us up from the train station and even got a high chair for our baby daughter (who fell in love with him and his warmth). The guest home is beautiful and so well equipped. The renovations are stunning. The kitchen and bathroom are luxurious, and modern. The bed is very comfortable and the place is so cozy, especially by the fire on cool Tuscan nights in Nov. Location is perfect! We walked to everything and enjoyed many top sites, restaurants, cafes and shopping in the historic centre. We can see our family visiting Stefano again in the future. Arezzo is a wonderful city and you simply must stay at Locanda Bellavita it is good for your soul.

“stefano truly put his heart into this place. the design is breathtaking and much larger than the photos show. this place was easily the best part of our holiday. whether it was sitting by the grand fireplace, cooking in his pristine kitchen, or soaking in the impeccable bathtub, it was all magical and surreal. the apartment itself is also very centrally located to all the great shops but on a quiet block away from the bustle. i can't wait to stay here again and highly recommend this place to anyone coming to arezzo and/or the tuscany area!! thank you! ”

Seven Stars to Stefano

Absolutely the best place we have ever stayed. Stefano was brilliant. What a host. Do yourself a big favour and stay here if ever you have the opportunity. You will not be disappointed. If offered the lunch by the fireplace we suggest you accept. It is the best.

невероятно! красиво, изысканно! огромная дизайнерская квартира на первом этаже старинного здания со своим входом. интеллегентный радушный хозяин старается во всем угодить даже самому искушенному гостю. красивые современные ванные комнаты - одна с душем, другая с ванной - с ультрамодной сантехникой. 2 спальни (есть и третья на одного чел.) с высококлассными постельными принадлежностями. много старинной мебели и при этом много высоких технологий, гигантский средневековый камин и полностью экиперованная кухня. в старом городе, но при этом на тихой улочке. очень хочется вернуться туда!

My host was amazing!!! He went above and beyond. He taught me how to make authentic Italian Pesto Pasta. The whole house is amazing- like something straight out of a movie. Modern amenities make for absolute luxury. It's perfect for anyone wanting to experience REAL Italy. So beautiful, so magical.

Bellavita a perfect name for a perfect place! Absolutely beyond our expectations. We loved our stay in your charming guest house. Your personal touches & an eye for detail made our Tuscany stay amazing! Our highlight was going to market with you. I can't say enough about how beautiful this place is! When you walk through the front door your breath gets taken away! I can see the meticulous detail Stefano took in designing and building this masterpiece of a guest house! There is a cute coffee shop directly across the street from this place and we went there every morning for their fabulous cappuccinos and great pasties. Lastly, parking is challenging when it comes to these cute Tuscan towns because a non resident has to park outside the city walls. Stefano was so helpful to show me where I can park for free and very near this place. Stefano, thank you so much! I have to tell you this, your place is so beautiful, my wife and I had to take pictures of it because we travel a lot but have never experienced a place as stunning as yours!

wundervolle unterkunft, extrem netter, visionärer Vermieter, der mit großer liebe und aufwand eine halb verfallene wohnung zu einem wahren schmuckstück transformiert hat. perfekte betten, schöne details, und ganz besonders beeindruckend, das ausgefeilte lichtsystem in einer parterrewohnung, die naturgemäß wenig licht hat. wir kommen auf jeden fall wieder und möchten anderen mietern dieses kleinod ans herz legen; ausserdem war die spezielle musikauswahl großartig, well done

The earlier reviewers do not exaggerate. Stefano creation is a work of art. Upon seeing the photographs we changed our itinerary just to stay there. And we are delighted that we did. Arezzo itself is an exceptional town. And Locanda Bellavita is even more gorgeous in person. My wife and I wandered around in awe for first 30 minutes drinking in every meticulous detail. It is quite aptly named. Stefano and Lucia clearly possess an aesthetic sensibility of the "Good Life". They even keep our favorite Belgian Ale in stock. Our only wish is that we could have stayed longer. Our hosts were very helpful and remained in good communication throughout. The family-owned trattoria they recommended yielded our best meal in Tuscany. The neighborhood is pleasant, quiet and conveniently located within easy walking distance of the heart of Arezzo. We happened to be traveling by motorcycle and were able to park within a few paces of the front door. We really look forward to returning to Locanda Bellavita next year. Needless to say we highly recommend it.

Exceeded our expectations!

I can't say enough positive things about our stay! It was beyond what we expected, better than the photos. Our host Stefano went out of his way to make everything perfect. My only regret is that we didn't stay longer. Maybe next year!

If you don't rent from Stefano, just don't come to Arezzo =)

This place is amazing! The owner was the most curtious renter we have encountered. Treated us like we were family. Dropped off home cooked meal and fresh pesto. Left us a fresh fruit bowl from the local market. A shower that can fit 10 people. Every trip to Arezzo, I will be staying here. Worth every euro!

It was a cool break from a Tuscan summer day; the fireplace made us want to come back in winter. The bedrooms are beautiful; the bathrooms and kitchen are to a high standard. Nice lighting both for atmosphere and reading. Music easily available via provided ipad or aux jack from your own device. A top place.”
